NSPCL registers highest generation at 2503.41 mln units in 2006-07

New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) NTPC-Sail Power Company Pvt Ltd (NSPCL), joint venture company of National Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) and Steel Authority of India Ltd, has achieved highest generation of 2503.431 million units at a plant load factor (PLF) of 91.01 per cent during 2006-07.

The captive power stations at NSPCL Rourkela, Bhilai and Durgapur have also registered highest generation during the financial year.

The captive power plant of Rourkela generated 993.379 million units at 94.50 per cent PLF; Bhilai generated 599.605 million units at 92.5 per cent PLF and Durgapur recorded highest availability factor of 95.74 per cent by generating 910.477 million units, it said in a statement.
