MCD property tax portal launched

New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit launched two portals at a simple function organised in Delhi Secretariat today.

The taxpayers can now log on to mcdpropertytax.in and easily calculate the tax to be paid by them from an easy to use User Interface.

They can also pay through Credit Card in addition to other modes of payment. A unique code will be assigned to each property and future references will be made using the unique code.

The software has been developed by E-Government Foundation. The collections and its information is being managed by the UTI Bank.

The portal would soon become bi-lingual.

It is expected to benefit more than eight lakh property owners in assessment, calculation and on line payment of tax under Unit Area System based on self-assessment.
