Job fests to be held at Mandi, Dharamshala

Shimla, Apr 9 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh unit of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Association (BBN) is organising two job fests at Mandi and Kangra districts of the state next month.

A two-day job fest would be held at Mandi Municipal Committee Hall on May 5-6 and another would he held at Prayas Bhawan at Dharamshala in Kangra district on May8-9, CII sources said here.

The CII has also decided to start a counselling centre at Mandi and would conduct three workshops for final year college students every year to make them aware about various job opportunities and career options.

A similar job fest in Solan town a few months ago had attracted more than 4,500 youth and helped about 700 youth in getting employed in various companies being set up in the industrial area of the state.

The sources said several of the selected candidates were still working with TVS Scooters, Johnson and Johnson, Vardhman, Winsom Textiles and Indo Farm Tractors.
