J'khand BJP protests EC's action on party's CD in UP

Ranchi, Apr 9 (UNI) The Jharkhand BJP today protested against the Election Commission's issuance of notice to the party on the controversial ''CD in Uttar Pradesh'' and urged President A P J Kalam to prevent the EC from misusing its power.

Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, state party President P N Singh led a protest march to the Raj Bhavan in this regard.

The party workers shouted slogans agaisnt the UPA government demanding prevention of alleged misuse of power by the Commission.

They even tried to barge into the Raj Bhavan removing the barricades during which they were involved in scuffle with the security personnel on duty before handing over a memorandum to the President through Governor Syed Sibtey Razi.
