Jharkhand BJP protests EC's action on party's CD in UP
Ranchi, Apr 9 (UNI) The Jharkhand BJP today protested the Election Commission's issuance of notice to the party on the controversial CD in Uttar Pradesh and urged President A P J Abdul Kalam to prevent the EC from ''misusing'' its power.
Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and state party president P N Singh led a protest march to the Raj Bhavan in this regard.
The party workers shouted slogans against the UPA government, demanding prevention of alleged misuse of power by the Commission.
They even tried to barge into the Raj Bhavan premises, removing the barricade during which led to a scuffle with the security personnel on duty before handing over a memorandum to Governor Syed Sibtey Razi for the President.
