Jaya seeks dismissal of TN Govt by Centre
Chennai, Apr 9 (UNI) Accusing the DMK Government of extending support to terrorism, AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today urged the Centre to dismiss the State Government if 'Tamil Nadu has to remain an integral part of India.' Referring to the jeep explosion at Tindivanam on April 7 in which 16 people lost their lives, she said it was not an isolated incident.
After Chief Minister M Karunanidhi assumed power, rowdies and terrorists were having free run of the state, she charged, adding, manufacture and smuggling of arms was taking place as an industry.
Stating that Tamil Nadu was treading a destructive path, the AIADMK supremo said if the state had to be saved, the Centre should dismiss the DMK Government and impose President's rule.
Speaking after solemnising the marriages of six couples, belonging to families of party functionaries, she said no one should underestimate the danger faced by Tamil Nadu.
She called upon party functionaries and cadre to explain to people about the impending danger to the state due to the DMK Government's 'support to terrorist activities.' UNI
