Hizul Commander surrenders in Doda

Jammu, Apr 9 (UNI) An area commander of the militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) has surrendered before the Army in Doda district, official sources today said.

Rouf, alias Gazi, surrendered before army troops in Bhadarwah belt along with arms and ammunition, the sources said.

Gazi had escaped from an encounter in Kishtwar district last week in which three Hizbul militants were killed and another was injured, the sources added.

While surrendering, Rouf handed over one AK 47 rifle, one magazine and some Ak rounds. He was being questioned, the sources added.
