Haryana govt comes out with regulation to check dengu

Chandigrah, Apr 9 (UNI) In view of the threat of the outbreak of dangerous epidemic diseases Malaria, Dengu and Japanese Encephalitis (JE), the Haryana government has come out with a regulation to effectively check the spread of these diseases.

This regulation would come into force in those areas where the ordinary provisions of law for the time being in force are insufficient for the purpose.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Health Department said that this regulation made under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 through a notification, would be known as Haryana Epidemic Diseases, Malaria, Dengue, Japanese Encephalitis, Regulations, 2007. This would come into force with immediate effect and would remain in force up to March 31, 2008.
