Drought: K'taka CM to lead all-party delegation to Centre
Bangalore, Apr 9 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will lead an all-party delegation to the Centre to press for more funds for taking up drought relief works, after the ongoing legislative session ended, Revenue Minister Jagdish Shettar announced today.
Talking to reporters here, he said he had already spoken to the Chief Minister in this regard.
The Minister said the State Government had requested the Centre to sanction Rs 1,700 crore and 5.74 lakh tonnes of foodgrains for taking up relief works in the State, facing severe drought.
