Draft photo electoral rolls of seven districts prepared, says CEO

Shimla, Apr 9 (UNI) Draft photo electoral rolls of seven districts of Himachal Pradesh have been prepared with January 1, 2007 as the qualifying date, state Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda today said.

The draft electoral rolls for Shimla, Sirmaur, Chamba, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Mandi and Kangra districts except (Jaswan, Pragpur and Jwalamukhi assembly constituencies) have been published, she said in an official release here Ms Nanda said the draft electoral rolls would be available for public inspection in the offices of ADMs,SDMs, tehsildars, naib tehsilders, officers appointed in polling stations, booth-level officers till April 24.

Claims or objections, if any, could be filed in the offices of officers concerned during any of these days and the final photo electoral rolls would be finally published on June 5, she said.

The CEO said photo electoral rolls of Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency would be published on April 10 after the amendments.
