DDA to go online to serve Delhi citizens better

New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) Delhi Development Authority is going for online computerisation to provide efficient services to the citizens of Delhi.

The Authority had decided to computerise all the operations and functions of the organisation under computerisation programme called Integrated Management System, a statement said today.

Minister of Urban Development Jaipal Reddy would launch the computerisation project at DDA's head office at Vikas Sadan in South Delhi tomorrow.

The system would automate all functions and operations of the DDA and usher in a new era in the working of the authority and immensely benefit the public.

The computerisation would improve the citizen interface, increase transparency in DDA operations, bring about efficiency in processing papers and provide speedy information access.

For the DDA, the computerisation would provide effective information management system, help decision making, provide seamless information flow between various departments of the authority, help re-engineer various processes, improve information reliability and connect all DDA offices through state-of-the-art networking infrastructure.

The Delhi Development Authority awarded the work of complete online computerisation to M S Birlasoft Limited, which was a leading provider of information technology services in both onshore and offshore organisations.

Birlasoft's services include application development, support and maintenance, enterprise application implementation, integration, infrastructure management and quality assurance and testing.
