Curfew to be relaxed for 10 hrs tomorrow

Lucknow, Apr 9 (UNI) As no untoward incident was reported in the curfew bound old city areas here, the administration today decided to relax the curfew by 10 hrs tomorrow.

The administration has relaxed the curfew from 0900 to 1900 hrs.

SSP Jyoti Narayan said the duration of relaxation of the curfew was extended, since the situation remained peaceful.

Today the curfew was relaxed for 6 hrs in a phased manner in Thakurganj and Chowk areas of Old Lucknow where it was imposed yesterday, following sectarian clashes during Barawafat.

He said the daytime curfew would be lifted from April 11, if the situation remains peaceful.
