Cupid Ltd enhances condom manufacturing capacity of its plant

Mumbai, Apr 9 (UNI) Premium quality condoms manufacturer Cupid Limited, an ISO-certified company, today announced that it has completed a mega expansion project in its existing plant at Nashik in Maharashtra.

Entailing a total outlay of Rs 62 million, the project has increased the company's manufacturing capacity from 160 million pieces per annum to 240 million pieces per annum, a company release said here.

Cupid Ltd chairman Omprakash Garg said ''The company's sales continue to be at a higher orbit due to the huge demand and massive orders in hand, including those placed by the Government of India.'' Cupid Limited commenced its commercial production in January 1997. It manufactures various types of condoms such as plain, dotted and coloured. It is also marketing condoms in international markets such as Russia, Turkey and South Africa, in addition to its institutional customers, the release added.
