Congress seeking BJP's derecognition out of desperation : BJP
New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) The BJP today said the demand of Union Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal asking the party President Rajnath Singh to retire from politics only showed the growing desperation of the Congress after its string of defeats in Punjab, Uttarakhand and in recently-concluded civic polls here.
Party Spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy in a statement said Mr Sibal's demand for de-recognising the BJP comes at a time when people of the country are about to de-recognise the Congress in polls.
''Congress after failing to deliver results, be it checking inflation, compromising on good governance and national security'', was now seeking BJP's de-recognition when the saffron party had conceded that the release of controversial CD was an inadvertent action of an individual.
''Mr Rajnath was accused of resorting to 'theatrics' for presenting himself before the police when non-bailable FIRs were registered against him and Mr Sibal should remember it was Congress which had created 'remote power centre', compromising the Prime Minister's authority, and playing traunt with the concerns of 'aam admi','' Mr Rudy said.
