Call money opens high at 7.00-8.00 pc
Mumbai, Apr 9: Interbank call rates today opened high at 7.00-8.00 per cent as against last Thursday's closing level of 7.00-7.25 per cent, dealers said.
Liquidity has improved in the market on account of government spending (to the tune of Rs 25,000 crore according to some estimates).
Call money fluctuated between 6 and 8 per cent during the intra-day trade.
Inter bank rates are likely to be steady for the day but traders will position for mild pressure in the short term given the GOI bond auctions scheduled this week, dealers added.
