Bomb hoax at Madras HC

Chennai, Apr 9 (UNI) An anonymous call stating that bombs would explode today on the Madras High Court premises turned out to be a hoax.

Police sources said the call was received by High Court Registrar at around 1130 hrs.

On being informed, police and bomb detection squad personnel along with sniffer dogs made a thorough search of the premises. No explosive was found. However, the court functioned normally.
