BJP's Vikas Yatra flagged off from Davanagere

Davanagere, Karnataka, Apr 9 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's Vikas Yatra was flagged off here today by party State unit President D V Sadananda Gowda.

Addressing party workers on the occasion, he said the 15-day, three-phased yatra was being taken out with the aim of strengthening the party at the grassroots level and creating awareness about the policies and programmes being implemented by the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government in the State.

Except State Health Minister R Ashok, all BJP Ministers attended the function. Senior party leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani was likely to attend the valedictory function in Udupi on April 24.

Mr Gowda said the party State unit had directed the district units to finalise electoral understandings and seat adjustments with other parties at the local level for the coming local body polls.
