Bahrain co in insurance JV with Chennai-based Shriram Group

Dubai, Apr 9 (UNI) A Bahraini business group has launched a joint venture in Manama 'Armour Insurance Services' for insurance broking with Chennai-based Shriram Group of companies.

Jawad Business Group, which launched the JV, said the new firm would evaluate Bahrain companies' risk profile.

The company will work as an intermediary between client and insurance company to ensure a fair deal to people's insurance needs by negotiating the most advantageous premium rates, its Chairman Faisal Jawad said.

It will negotiate with insurance companies for best rates, terms and conditions, ensuring adequacy of cover for the property involved, train and equip clients with latest offerings from insurance companies and assist in amicable claim settlement and provide advice on speedy claims delivery methodologies.

The Shriram Group, one of India's largest financial services conglomerate, is engaged in truck finance, chit funds, consumer finance, general insurance, life insurance and stock broking, said Group Director Akhila Srinivasan.
