AP Govt orders CB-CID probe into SSA scam

Hyderabad, Apr 9 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today ordered a CB-CID inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of Rs ten crore in the implementation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

According to sources here, the government also ordered a departmental inquiry to probe the involvement of other officials.

Two persons-- Subramanyam and Sarasa Devi--had already been arrested in connection with the case. A local court remanded them in judicial custody.

Meanwhile, the Central Crime Station (CCS) Police filed a petition in a city court, seeking police custody of the accused.
