Alleged ISI agent remanded to police custody till April 17
Pune, Apr 9 (UNI) A local court today remanded Vishal Kumar Upadhya (24), arrested for suspected links with Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), to police custody till April 17.
In the remand hearing, the prosecution sought police custody of the youth and his Pakistani girlfriend, to probe the incriminating evidence, including 12 CDs of which two contained pictures of vital installations in various cities, important telephone numbers and other information - that were recovered from his possession yesterday.
Vishal wanted to marry his girlfriend and convert to Islam, police said.
When asked for details, DCP Anil Kumbhare said that it was too early to give information as that would also hamper investigations.
''We will give you all the information after the investigations are over,'' he said.
