12 injured in clash in Amreli

Rajkot, Apr 9 (UNI) Twelve people were injured in a poll-related clash between two rival groups at Simran Village in Savarkundal taluka of Amreli district, just after conclusion of Gram Panchayat elections last night.

Police said the incident took place near Shankar temple and the two groups indulged in firing.

The injured were admitted to the Amreli Civil Hospital.

Police immediately rushed to the place and brought the situation under control.

Police personnel have been deployed in the entire area as a precautionary measure.
