Veena festival in capital from April 13
New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) A four-day southern Veena festival will take place in the capital from April 13 which featuring prominent exponents of the instrument like Kalpakkam Swaminathan, Amini Kalyani and B Kannan.
The festival, organised jointly by the Veena Foundation of Delhi and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts will be held at the IGNCA, the Foundation Secretary General V Raghurama Aiyyar said.
Veena Foundation Chairman Dr L M Singhvi will give away the Veena Vadanatattwagna Award to noted Veena players Mr R Venkatraman of Thiruvananthapuram, Mr Aiyyar said.
Veena maestros Revathi Krishna and Saraswati Rajgopalan will also participate in the festival, he added.
