UP minister complains to EC for being ''manhandled''
Lucknow, Apr 8 (UNI) The ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) state unit general secretary and Uttar Pradesh PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav has demanded strict action from the Election Commission (EC) against jawans of the central security forces for allegedly ''manhandling'' him.
In a letter to the EC observer of the Jaswantnagar assembly seat, Mr Yadav has complained about being ''manhandled'', when he was going to cast his vote in Jaswantnagar assembly constituency.
The act was highly undemocratic and unconstitutional, Mr Yadav added.
Besides, the jawans were found misbehaving with the voters in several booths, following which a large number of people could not exercise their franchise, Mr Yadav complained.
