Two naxalites escape, police surround forest

Bangalore, Apr 8 (UNI) Two naxalites escaped after getting a clue about Anti-Naxalite squad approaching them in Nagasampige Hill area in Chikamagalur district of Karnataka last night.

Police said that two country made rifles, two batteries and pamphlets were recovered when combing operation was conducted in the hilly area after getting a definite information about naxalites presence.

A search was conducted through out night and today also which did not yield any clues.

Meanwhile, in a government school in Anchanagudi, a nearby village, pamphlets supporting naxalites were seen.
