Three PHE engineers suspended in Jammu

Jammu, Apr 8 (UNI) Three Public Health Engineering (PHE) officials, including an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), were suspended after they were found absent from duty at their place of posting at Jajir Kotli, here, official sources today said.

The officials, Mr M K Bali, AEE, Mr R C Anand, Assistant Engineer and Mr Arvind Gupta, Junior Engineers were suspended after they were found absent from the duty during a surprised visit by PHE minister Romesh Sharma at Jajir Kotli pumping station yesterday.

Meanwhile, an order was also given to withhold the salary of another Junior Engineer Kuldeep Kumar for the same reason, sources said.

A departmental enquiry has been ordered into the case.
