Three members of a family die in road accident

Sambalpur, Apr 8 (UNI) Three members of a family were killed in a road accident near Basaloi on National Highway 6, about 100 km from here.

The deceased were identified as Talsidas Tete (55), his wife Tasina Tete (48) and their daughter Babita (20).

The three were yesterday returning from Deogarh after attending Good Friday celebration at a catholic church when the mishap occurred.

Police said the couple and their daughter were returning to their native home at Kumadpali under Barkote block on a two-wheeler when a truck hit the vehicle.

All the three died on the spot. The driver of the truck fled from the scene with the vehicle after the accident. The family is survived by two daughters and a minor son.
