State govt to decide on sugarcane price issue tomorrow

Kolhapur, Apr 8 (UNI) Maharashtra co-operation minister Patangrao Kadam today said Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh will preside over a meeting, to be held tomorrow in Mumbai, to discuss the sugarcane price issue and other related problems of farmers.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr kadam said the Chief Minister will inform the decision of the meeting in the State Assembly.

Sugarcane growers, despite having good crop this year, had to suffer due to over production, which resulted in fall of prices and a large quantity remained uncrushed.
