SPO injured in Chhatishgarh

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Apr 8 (UNI) A Special Police Officer (SPO) was today injured when a pressure bomb exploded while a police team was patrolling at Moosla village in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said.

SPO Purso Surman was admitted to a hospital in Bijapur.

Local tribal youths have been appointed as SPOs at a fixed honorarium in naxalite-affected areas of Chhattisgarh to assist police.
