SP district general secretary leaves party
Allahabad, Apr 8 (UNI) Aggrieved at the alleged dictatorial and partial attitude of the party leaders, ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) district general secretary Amarjeet Singh Patel left the party today and expressed confidence in the newly-formed Samajwadi Kranti Dal by Beni Prasad Verma.
Mr Patel has announced to contest the Uttar Pradesh assembly election against SP candidate and state Environmental Minister Ujjawal Raman Singh under the Samajwadi Kranti Dal banner from Karchhana assembly seat of Allahabad.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Patel alleged that the present leadership of the SP is ignoring honest and dedicated workers and is engaged in politics of ''pariwarwad''. Even veteran leaders like Beni Prasad Verma, who helped Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in the days of crisis, has been ignored.
''The SP has become a private limited party of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, while his international broker Amar Singh is running the party,'' Mr Patel further alleged.
