RPF jawans killed in naxal attack, three injured
Jamui, Apr 8 (UNI) At least two RPF jawans were killed and three others were injured today when activists of proscribed CPI (Maoists) attacked the 213 up Howrah-Mokama passenger train near Naganjo station under Jhajha-Jaisidih section of East Central Railway.
Railway police sources said here that 25 extremists with sophisticated weapons swooped on the RPF jawans on duty in the running train and threw chilly powder at them.
The ultras looted two carbines, one SLR and two pistols from the possession of the RPF jawans.
The slain RPF jawans were identified as Palash Ghosh and Arjit Das.
Top officials of the civil, police and railway administration rushed to the incident site with reinforcements.
