Prisoner attempts suicide

Puducherry,Apr 8 (UNI) An undertrial prisoner allegedly attempted to committ suicide at the central prison here late last evening.

Police today said the prisoner Babu (34), who was arrested for a murder case in 2005, had consumed soapnut powder.

He was admitted to Government General Hospital.
