Pranab Mukherjee stable, being flown to Delhi
Kolkata, Apr 8 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who was critically injured when a lorry collided head on with his car at Birhattala at Bethuadahari of Nadia district in West Bengal last night, is now stable and will be rushed to Delhi today.
The condition of Mr Mukherjee, who went a CT scan here, is said to be stable.
An army helicopter will ferry him to NSCB airport here from where he would be flown to the national capital by a special plane.
Immediately after the road accident at 2115 hours last night, Mr Mukherjee was rushed to Bethuadahari Grameen hospital where he was given 12 stitches in his head and put on a saline drip.
He was later brought to Shaktinagar District hospital at Krishnagar for further treatment.
