Ministers of Koda govt involved in corruption: CPI
Hazaribagh, Apr 8 (UNI) Alleging that Madhu Koda-led UPA government was resposible for corruption in the state, CPI state secretary and party MP Bhuneshwar Mehta today claimed the ministers were taking 'bribes' for tender allotment.
Talking to reporters here Mr Mehta said the ministers of Koda government were taking five per cent as 'commission' for passing a department tender.
Mr Mehta said the entire government machinery, including administrative officers, were involved in corruption, adding the CPI party worker, who raised his voice against the issue, was being threatened by them.
Referring to an example Mr Mehta said District Secretaery of the party Mahendra Pathak also received threats to his life as he knocked the door of Jharkhand High Court, raising questions on the salt scam and misappropriation of funds of about Rs eight crore in Mines Council.
The CPI leader said he also informed Chief Minister Madhu Koda, Chief Secretary, Director Genaral of Police and the concerned Suprintendent of Police about the issue.
Mr Mehta said party would launch statewide agitation 'Dera Dalo Ghera Dalo' from May 7 to 15 demanding correction in state's BPL list and proper implementation of developmental schemes.
