Kalam at centenary celebration of Sidhaganga seer

Bangalore, Apr 8: President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam arrived here today on a one-day visit to Karnataka to participate in the 100th year birthday celebration of Dr Shivakumara Swamijee of the renowned Sidhaganga Mutt here today.

President Dr Kalam, who had arrived in a special flight, was received by Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and other dignitaries.

The President, immediately after arrival, borded an IAF helicopter for Tumkur to participate in the celebrations.

The President is also scheduled to visit the campus of the Infosys Technologies and also participate in the interactive session with IT professionals in Mysore.
