Kalam attends Sidhaganga seer's centenary festivity

Bangalore, Apr 8: President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam arrived for a one-day visit to Karnataka to participate at the 100th year birthday celebration of the Dr Shivakumara Swamijee of the renowned Sidhaganga Mutt here today.

President Dr Kalam, who had arrived in a special flight was received by Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and other dignitories.

President immediately after arrival at the Bangalore Air Port was borded IAF helicopter and left straightly to Tumkur to participate at the 100th year birthday celebration of the Sidhaganga seer.

The president Dr Kalam was also scheduled to visit the the campus of the Infosys Technologies and also participate in the interactive session with the IT professionals in Mysore.
