Jaya cancels her visit to UP for election campaigning

Chennai, Apr 8 (UNI) AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today cancelled her proposed visit to Uttar Pradesh to campaign in support of Samajwadi Party (SP) in the Assembly polls there.

Party sources said Ms Jayalalithaa was scheduled to leave for Uttar Pradesh this morning.

However, she had cancelled it.

The reason for cancelling the visit was not known immediately.

Accepting the invitation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ms Jayalalithaa had agreed to address public meetings at Bareli today and at Allahabad on April 12.
