Heat waves prevail in MP

Pune, Apr 8 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of east Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places in south Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, north Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, north Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and of coastal Karnataka and in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh. It was above normal in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, Kerala and in remaining parts of Rajasthan.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and in remaining parts of Orissa. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, north Konkan and north Madhya Maharashtra.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Haryana, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu.
