'Get well soon': Kasuri tells Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi, Apr 8: Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri today wished External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who was injured in a road accident near Kolkata yesterday, a speedy recovery. In a message, Mr Kasuri also wished the External Affairs Minister good health, a senior official of the Pakistan High Commission here said.

"A bouquet of flowers will also be sent to Mr Mukherjee on behalf of Mr Kasuri," the official said.

The two Ministers had met on April 3-4 during the 14th SAARC Summit here and also on the sidelines of the Summit.

Meanwhile, in a message from the Army Research and Referral Hospital, where he was admitted after being flown in from Kolkata, the External Affairs Minister expressed gratitude to all those who had sent him good wishes.

He hoped that he would be back to work after the 48-hour period that doctors have prescribed him for rest.

''I am grateful to all those who have sent me good wishes following the road accident I was involved in, near Krishna Nagar in West Bengal. I am well, but doctors have advised me 48 hours rest. I hope to be back to work after that period,'' the External Affairs Minister said in the message.
