Former PRC Director dismissed

Visakhapatnam, Apr 8 (UNI) Andhra University Vice-Chancellor L Venugopal Reddy today said the Population Research Centre (PRC) former Director M Vivekananda Murthy had been dismissed on the charges of misappropriating funds to the tune of Rs 98.95 lakh.

Informing this to mediapersons here, he said the University Executive Council had decided to initiate criminal proceedings against Vivekananda Murthy.

The Executive Council took the decision based on the report submitted by former High Court Judge B Ranga Raju, who probed the issue.
