Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee being flown to Delhi
Kolkata, Apr 8 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who was critically injured when a lorry collided head on with his car at Birhattala at Bethuadahari of Nadia district in West Bengal last night, was being rushed to Delhi today.
Ar army chopper was ferrying him to NSCB airport here from where he would be flown to New Delhi by a special plane.
Soon after the road mishap at 2115 hours last night, Mr Mukherjee was rushed to Bethuadahari Grameen hospital and had been given 12 stitches in his head and was on saline.
Mr Mukherjee was later brought to Shaktinagar District hospital at Krishnagar for further treatment.
