Congress names candidates for UP assembly polls

New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) The Central Election Committee of the Congress today approved the names of 22 candidates for the fifth and sixth phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

The candidates include : Mr Ajay Pal Kannauja 'Munshi'(Mallawan), Mr Murlidhar Ahuja (Lucknow Cannt), Mr Ram Sevak Dhobi(Jagdishpur), Mr Moid Ahmed(Sultanpur Sadar), Mr Jai Narayan Tiwari(Jaisinghpur), Mr Virendra Pratap Singh (Haswa), Mr Surendra Singh Goutam(Bindki), Mr Hemant Kushwaha (Chiraigaon), Mr Vinod Kumar Maurya(Barsathi), Mr Rajesh Kumar Singh (Jaunpur), Mr Pramod Kumar Mishra(Rari), Mr Aftab Ahmad Khan (Machhlishahr), Mr Lallan Shukla(Karchana), Mr Fuzali Hashmi(Soron), Ms Mamta Maurya (Nawabganj), Mr S M Shahad (Allahabad-W).
