BEL declares Rs 213 cr turnover for 2006-07

Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 8 (UNI) Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) Machilipatnam unit declared a record turnover of Rs 213 crore in 2006-07 as against Rs 185 crore in the last financial year, according to BEL General Manager V Sunder Raman.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Raman said about Rs 2.5 crore worth Night Vision Goggles and Binoculors were exported to Sri Lanka in 2005-06.

About Rs 250 crore orders were expected from the Defence Ministry, BSF, CRPF and CISF this year, he added.
