AOC celebrates 232th Corps Day at Army's Northern Command

Jammu, Apr 8 (UNI) Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) today celebrated its 232nd Corps Day at Udhampur-based Northern Command headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir, official spokesman said.

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command Lt Gen H S Panag greeted all ranks and families of the AOC on the eve of Corps Day.

Entrusted with the task of managing a large and complex inventory and providing logistic support to the field Army across a wide spectrum of conflict situations, the Corps has a record of outstanding contribution in all operations and has proved its mettle both in war and peace.

Its task calls for dedication, high degree of professionalism and flexibility in keeping with the changing concepts of war.

In the Northern Command, AOC has carried out its assigned task of Ordnance logistic support to the equipment intensive field army, to ensure that field formations are fully equipped to rise to any call of duty.
