About 400 people fell after consuming 'sani prasad'

Howrah, Apr 8 (UNI) In a second incident of food poisoning in this district, about 400 people fell ill after consuming 'prasad' at a 'sani mandir' in Molo village under Panchla police station here today.

So far, 300 people were admitted at Gabbaria State General Hospital here.

The district administration, police and the chief medical official's office held a meeting here in this regard.

At present, a medical centre has been set up in a local school here to provide primary medical treament to as many people as possible.

About 100 people have received treatment at this centre so far, while many others have consulted other private medical centres.
