5 killed in building collapse in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Apr 8: Five people were killed when a ten-storeyed building under construction collapsed at Akkarai village in suburban Thoraipakkam on the IT Corridor here this evening.

Police sources said while four people, three Biharis and one from Andhra Pradesh, died on the spot, another person died on way to a private hospital.

The huge building was being constructed by E-gate, a software firm at the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR).
