UP assembly to meet amid elections

Lucknow, Apr 7(UNI) Uttar Pradesh assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey has again deferred the sitting of the House from April 10 to April 25.

The session, which started on January 18 last was adjourned last on March 12 to sit again on March 29. But the Speaker has deferred the date twice so far.

Principal secretary(assembly) Rajendra Prasad Pandey here said that on the order of the Speaker, the House will now sit on April 25 at 1100 hrs.

It was for the first time in the history of the state that the house was continuing during the assembly polls.
