Two-year-old girl dies after falling into borewell

Rajkot, Apr 7 (UNI) In yet another tragic incident, a two-year-old girl died after she fell into a 50-feet deep borewell in Bhadeli village of Jasdan taluka in this district.

Fire Brigade sources said the child -- Kinjal Mansingh Chauhan -- who was playing near the borewell, accidently fell in it yesterday and was stuck at a depth of ten feet, the sources said.

A fire brigade rescue team from here rushed to the place and started rescue operation to save the child.

After battling for three hours, the team rescued her from the well.

She was taken to the Jasdan hospital where she was declared brought dead. She died of suffocation, the hospital sources said.

On March 11, a three-year-old girl had died after falling in to 60-feet deep borewell in Karmadia village of Bhavnagar District.
