Toyota launches Express Maintenance service centre in city

Ahmedabad, Apr 7 (UNI) Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today launched its international standard one-hour 'Express Maintenance' (EM) service centre in the city, here.

The one-hour periodic maintenance servicing of all Toyota models is a new concept in India on the lines of European and American auto service industries, M Kawabata, Deputy Managing Director, TKM said.

Talking to mediapersons, on the launch of EM service at Infinium Toyota, Mr Kawabate said, this service will bring Indian Toyota dealers upto a global standard in customer service.

He said, the EM service reduces the servicing time of a vehicle to one-hour by eliminating the stagnation time of in-between processes and process improvements (Kaizen).

Process Kaizen also enables reduced lead-times and guarantees vehicle delivery times. For dealers, the implementation of the TSM Advanced Programme will bring a significant increase in workshop productivity.

The significant feature of EM service is that it is available to customers at the same price as the normal service price, he said.

Mr Kawabata said ''Customer satisfaction is a top priority at Toyota and we believe that the EM service is a step towards achieving our goal of customer retention.'' The EM service centre at Ahmedabad is fourth of its kind, after Mumbai, Bangalore and Cochin. It will be extended to 10 more cities across the country by the end of this year, he added.
