Propogate Central govt activities in rural areas: Cong leader
Puducherry, Apr 7 (UNI) AICC secretary Sanjay Bapna today asked the the youths in the Congress party to fan out to rural areas for propogating the various welfare activities initiated by the Centre to improve the condition of the have nots.
Inaugurating a motorcycle rally by the Puducherry Pradesh Youth Congress Committee to highlight the Central and state budgets here today, Mr Bapna called upon the youth to propogate the great services of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, particularly earmarking reservation for women in local bodies among the public.
Addressing the rallyists, AICC general secretary V Narayanasamy, MP, cautioned the people to be wary about 'blackmail politics' currently being resorted to by a section of the opposition in Puducherry.
UT Chief Minister N Rangasamy and PCC president P Shanmugham also addressed the Youth Congress volunteers.
