Notorious criminals killed in encounter

Patna, Apr 7(UNI) At least two criminals were killed in an encounter in Mokama under Patna district early today.

District Police Superintendent (rural) Upendra Sinha said the two criminals Mohan Singh and Birendra Paswan alias Billu had taken shelter in a house.

Acting on a tip off,a police party raided the hideout. The criminals opened fire and in the ensuing encounter, the two were killed.

The police recovered two country-made pistols and ammunition from the site of the encounter, he added. The slain criminals faced charges of murder, loot and kidnapping.
